The association of abortion doctors in Holland have made the peculiar choice of inviting antichoice groups to advice them on new guidelines of counseling women who are unwanted pregnant and who consider abortion. Also the extremist Bert Dorenbos from " schreeuw om leven" has been invited to give his views.

If nazis would be asked for an opening of a multicultural centre of if Geert Wilders would be invited in the new mosque people would be angry i guess. The abortion doctors probibly thought that people might also be indignant about this decision? they kept the invitation secret.

The context of the invitation: the association of abortiondoctors had gotten money from VWS (ministry of health and so on) to make new guidelines for counseling. They asked three "stakeholders groups" for their views in this matter.
1 antichoice groups. VBOK, Lindeboom instituut and schreeuw om leven.
2 women who recently were dealing with the decision: abortion or not.
3 prochoice organisations and women.

with those three groups they had seperate focusmeetings. after these focusmeetings professionals like doctorts, abortion doctors, welfare workers, psychologists and gyneacologists will make the guidelines. So its not sure if the ideas of antichoice will last. If VBOK says abortion doctors should show foetus puppets to the woman who is about to decide about abortion its probably not gonna happen (i hope).

But the definite guideline that the professionals make with the advises of stakeholders in their head is gonna be used for couseling.

womens rights violators welcome?

its real bad that organisations that want to ban abortion are invited by these professionals. Cause all the three antichoice organsations are known for not respecting selfdetermination of women, but they want to protect the foetus from the moment of conception.(incompatible with the womans right to birthcontrol). if the pretend to care about the welbeing of women, its a facade.

Schreeuw om leven is known for harassing women who go to the clinics on the doorstep of the clinics. They give them fotos of echoscopies, show fake foetusses and follow clients of the clinic to their car, shrowing a flyer in when they are getting in. Police does nothing against it.

Also their way of "helping women" (they have groups for that) is amateurish and dangerous. They tell women who come for counseling for" post abortion mental problems" (mostly created by antichoice)that they have commited a murder and that they better pray their knees off for forgivesness otherwise...... you go to hell. The fuehrer of schreeuw om leven portrays abortion as holocaust and visits Auschwitz with his followers for this reason.

So its not wise of the abortion doctors to invate them. First it gives the wrong signal: it provides legitimity to a groups that well deserve a paria status.

There is no respect for womans rights in the antichoice movement.

So, the abortion doctors, who i know have much respect for selfdetermination of women, act hypocritically and dangerously negatiating with those.
although schreeuw om leven didnt show up at the meeting i'm sure they lobbied with their friends from other groups to get their points in.
That VBOK has been invated to give their ideas is also bad. apart from the principle: they have money enough to organise own meetings for guidelines now, since they got about 5 milion from the state.

The abortion doctors would have done better if they would have brought in the open (before having meetings with groups) what they are looking for. Cause i think a lot of people and orgasations might have ideas about counseling around these decisions. That would have been more democratic, since it all happens with tax money.
